Downloadthe SNES9X Custom HQ 1.43 (v60) source code.

SNES9X Custom HQ adds support for HQ2X and Scale2x blitters to the SNES9X Custom build listed below. HQ2X is very high quality and generally faster than SNES9X's current implementation of Super 2xSaI. Scale2x is very fast, even on low performance computers, and looks pretty decent for the miniscule speed hit.

DownloadZSNES 1.4.3 for Intel Macs.

ZSNES has always been an emulator that Mac users have wanted to use, but it has never been possible because it is written specifically for Intel processors. Now that Apple has switched from PPC to Intel processors in their latest Macintosh computers, it has become possible to port ZSNES to Mac OS X. Because of this, ZSNES will only run on Macs that have an Intel processor.

Downloadthe source code to BSNES 0.021.

BSNES is a Super Nintendo emulator with the purpose of giving you the most accurate emulation experience for the SNES. The fact that BSNES is aimed at accuracy makes it quite a taxing application to run and therefore it needs a fast machine to run without a hitch. BSNES requires at least a Power Macintosh G5 or an Intel Mac to run.

DownloadSilhouette Public Release 1.0.
Downloadthe French version of Silhouette.

Silhouette is a good SNES emulator, supporting decent sound, some transparency effects and great compatibility in its only release! Although not as fast as SNES9X, it is playable on most recent machines. It is also a project shrouded in mystery--the developers, allegedly former Nintendo employees, have chosen to remain anonymous in order to protect themselves from legal action. The Silhouette story has come under fire and many now doubt its true origins, but Silhouette nonetheless proves to be a unique emulator.

Several readers have reported that Silhouette will fail abruptly if the monitor being used is unable to handle thousands of colors. In fact, it seems to have video problems unless the emulator is started in thousands of colors.
