The Atari Lynx was a handheld gaming system much like the Sega Game Gear. Of all the handheld systems at the time, the Lynx probably had the most advanced graphics and sound coprocessor chips.

Handy/MacOS is a very capable Lynx emulator. It requires a fairly powerful system to get full speed, but provided you have one, you can run almost all the existing games under Mac OS X.
