At one point, the Commodore Amiga had gained the reputation of being "unemulatable." Its plethora of graphics and sound modes along with its tightly interwoven OS has made it the holy grail of emulators. However, dedicated programming efforts have made even Amiga emulation possible.

This is a version of UAE, the Ubiquitous Amiga Emulator, with an emulation core based on WinUAE 0.8.28. It attempts to bring many of the great features of WinUAE to non-Windows platforms. There are different builds available with various tweaks and optimizations enabled. E-UAE is open-source software and is made available under the terms of the GNU GPL. E-UAE is based on the work of dozens of contributors including Bernd Schmidt (the original author and maintainer of UAE), Bernie Meyer (the author of the x86 JIT compiler), Toni Wilen (the current maintainer of WinUAE), and many more.

This is a Mac OS X native version of the Ubiquitous Amiga Emulator. Although some features are not yet supported, and the user interface is rudimentary, this is a very good emulator overall.

This Amiga emulator is quite stable and compatible! This version supports GZ compression, Picasso96 emulation, and joysticks. (Unfortunately, Amiga hardfile support is broken in this version.)
