A new test version of Magic Engine, 0.98 test 4, has been released. This update should fix problems with joypads and DVD drives. The Magic Engine team is requesting feedback, both good and bad, about this update. [news contributed by Rob Dwyer]

Volume 3 of the Intellivision Intellipack, an Intellivision emulator which can play the games B-17 Bomber, Shark! Shark!, and Beauty and the Beast, is now available.

Neko Project II, the first PC-9801 emulator for the Macintosh, has been added to emulation.net!
GrayBox Z has been added to emulation.net. Unfortunately, this emulator has been discontinued and will receive no further updates.
Due to concerns that Nintendo may threaten legal action (though Nintendo has not actually contacted the author), the author of PlayBoy Advance has announced that the emulator will not receive any further updates.

PlayBoy Advance, a Gameboy Advance emulator, has been released! Its compatibility level is still pretty low, but it will undoubtedly improve with time.

Several users have noted that the current version of SNES9X does not work properly under the final release of Mac OS X. This will be corrected in the next update, which should be soon.

X68000 Emulator PPC has been updated to version 0.00 b11. This version supports raster scrolling techniques and is quite improved over previous updates.
Generator, a Sega Genesis emulator, has been updated to version 0.19.
emulation.net is back! Thanks to months of engineering effort, a newly-designed system is in place to allow multiple users to update the page, while retaining the same consistent look-and-feel. This represents a huge step towards the ultimate goal of keeping the content on the site current. In many ways, this change constitutes a drastic redesign of the inner workings of the site, so there may be technical difficulties--please let me know if you encounter any problems with the new setup.
