Virtual PC has been updated to version 4.0! This upgrade, which now requires a G3 or later, claims to offer a significant performance boost. According to Connectix, the newly Altivec-enabled code can bring a 100% performance improvement to certain operations. Also, a new feature allows virtual hard disks to take significantly less Mac OS disk space. (Detailed reports can be found at Virtual PC Central. A preview version of Bernie ][ the Rescue 3.0, an Apple IIgs emulator, has been released!

MasterGear, a Sega Master System emulator, has been updated to version 1.4! This version features improved GameGear video quality, has more accurate sound emulation, supports 2xSAI/EAGLE video enhancement, and is accelerated for multiprocessor Macs!

Magic Engine, a TurboGrafx-16/PC Engine emulator, has been updated to version 0.98.

vMac, a Mac Classic emulator, has been updated to version 0.1.9c! This version is now Carbonized for Mac OS X compatibility.

Generator, a Sega Genesis emulator, has been updated to version 0.16. This update improves compatibility and allows you to play in a window instead of full screen.

The PDP-8/E Simulator has been updated to version 1.4.b1. This version is updated to run properly on Mac OS X Public Beta.

MacMAME, an arcade emulator, has been updated to version 0.37b10.

GeoMAME, a Neo-Geo emulator based on MacMAME, has been updated to version 0.37b10b. This version now supports the 1999 Neo-Geo ROMs, such as King of Fighters '99.

MacPacMAME, a Pac-Man emulator based on MacMAME, has also been updated to version 0.37b10.

EmuMac, another Mac emulation web page, has a new look! It's now a web-log style site with multiple contributors and user comments, kind of like Slashdot. They update pretty frequently, as well, so you might want to check their page from time to time if you're interested in the very latest emulation news.
