SNES9X has been updated to version 1.3.2! This version adds two enhanced video modes which smooth out details in the SNES graphics, and adds support for multi-processor Macs! It also fixes a long-standing bug which caused Super Mario Kart, Donkey Kong Country and Metroid 3 to have incorrect graphics.

Connectix Virtual Game Station has been updated to version 1.4.1! This version improves sound support, and some readers have reported improved compatibility in certain games as well.

RockNES, a new Nintendo Entertainment System emulator, has been updated to version 1.421. This version has received some optimization, leading to a 15% speedup, and also allows for network play.

NeoPocott, a Neo-Geo Pocket Color emulator, has been updated to version 0.37! Although compatibility is still low, the authors promise to improve it in future versions.

A new Gameboy emulator, Victoly Boy, has been released. It is currently in very early stages, so sound and Gameboy Color are not yet supported.

A Thomson TO7 emulator, MacTO7, has been released. However, it does not allow for any user input outside of the light pen.

MacMAME has been updated to version 0.37b8.

GeoMAME has been updated to version 0.37b5b.

emulation.net has received an iReview! I have to wonder why emulation.net only got an 80% "Mac-friendly" rating, though; it would be difficult to be any more Mac-centric than the site already is.

Connectix has released a functional demo of Virtual Game Station, their Playstation emulator! The only features missing are two-player support, gamepads, and memory cards. Even without those features, it's still an incredibly impressive emulator.

SNES9X has been updated to version 1.30a! This version works correctly on Mac OS X Public Beta and corrects a sound glitch that some users experienced with the previous version.

RockNES, a new Nintendo emulator, has been released! This emulator features very good sound emulation and a wide variety of mappers. However, it requires a G3 for best performance.

NeoPocott is a newly-released emulator for the Neo Geo Pocket Color! Unfortunately, it currently has only limited compatibility with most games, but the authors promise that this will improve in the future.

Power64, a Commodore 64 emulator, has been updated to version 2.9.

SimCoupe/MacOS, a SAM Coupé emulator, has been updated to version 0.7.9.

Horizon, a Acorn BBC Micro emulator, has been updated to version 1.1. This update includes a speed limiter to prevent the emulator from running too fast on newer Power Macs.

SoftVMS/MacOS, a Dreamcast VMU emulator, has been updated to version 1.8.1. This version is now Carbonized and works with Mac OS X Public Beta. Please note: SoftVMS is not a Dreamcast emulator.

The PDP-8/E Simulator has been updated to version 1.4.b. A Mac OS X native version is also available.

Emulators for Centipede and Astro Fighters, CentiMu and AstrofMu, have been released. However, since they are written in BASIC, performance is not very good.

The Apple II ROM links should be functional once again.
